Participation Agreement
Last Updated: August 27, 2026
This is the agreement between you and Know Reply Inc. (“Know Reply”, “we”, “us”), which
operates Earnesty. It covers posting about a software product to earn something inside it.
“The Product” is the software you’re posting about, “the Partner Tag” is its disclosure
hashtag (for example #Acme_Partner), and your “Reward” is what the Product gives
you for a post that counts — usually credits, sometimes tokens or a free month. The short
version follows, then More detail.
1. What this is
You get something of value from the Product — Credits, spendable inside it — in exchange for posting publicly about it.
Two other documents are part of this agreement: the Program Rules, which set out exactly what a post needs and what isn’t allowed, and the Acceptable Use Policy.
2. Put the Partner Tag in every post
Every post you want to count must carry the Partner Tag, plus the Product’s @mention. It’s there because the law requires readers to know a post was rewarded. A post without the tag doesn’t verify, so it doesn’t earn — the check runs before anything is granted.
Put it where someone will see it — near the start reads best. But we only check that it’s there. If the tag is in the post, you get paid; we don’t grade you on where you put it.
3. Say what you actually think
You must have actually used the Product, the words must be yours, and you must believe them. A bug report, a complaint, or a comparison that goes against the Product earns exactly what a glowing post earns. Earnesty never reads sentiment — nobody is scoring whether you were nice, and no Reward is ever tied to a signup or a sale.
4. Rewards are not money
Your Reward has no cash value, whatever form it takes. It is not redeemable for money, not transferable, and not a gift card or other stored-value product. The Product issues it; Earnesty never pays you money and never issues a Reward — we verify the post and relay the instruction.
5. The fine print
- Be a real person, on an account you own. One account per Product — a handle can’t earn for two people.
- Posts that earned stay public and stay tagged. Don’t remove the Partner Tag after a post has earned, and don’t make it private to keep the Reward without the disclosure.
- No faking it. No purchased engagement, no bot or burner accounts, no recycled posts — one post, one Product, once.
- If you’re an insider, say so in the post. If you work for the Product’s company, or you’re a contractor, investor, or an immediate family member of someone who is, put it near the start. “I work at Acme” is enough. The Partner Tag says you were rewarded; it doesn’t say you’re an insider.
- You must be 18 or over. Earning here means accepting something of value for a public endorsement, so the age floor is 18.
More detail
This section expands on the five above. It is part of the same agreement, not a separate set of terms.
How a Claim is valued. You hold one Claim at a time; posting redeems it. It is worth one number, set by the Product, and it is the same number whenever you post — there is no clock running down and nothing to lose by waiting. It doesn’t change with how long Verification takes, either: what a post earns doesn’t depend on when we get around to looking. Claim values, cooldowns, and caps are the Product’s numbers, not Earnesty’s.
Your Claim Code. Your first post also carries your Claim Code — a short permanent
string, for example #earnesty_7K4PXM, that tells us the post is yours.
The reply bonus. Replies earn a bonus on top, settled once, five days after your post’s own timestamp — not after we verify it, so this half is measured from your post too. We count distinct accounts, not raw replies: ten replies from one person count as one. More conversation earns more, up to a maximum the Product sets and never above it. The post has to still be public and still tagged when we settle.
When you can earn again. Once the cooldown has passed since your last credited post, your next Claim opens on its own. You don’t have to spend what you earned first, ask for it, or do anything at all. The Product also sets how many credited posts you can make in any 30 days; once you’ve reached that, no Claim is open, and your status page shows the date the next one opens. You will never post publicly and then be told the post can’t be paid.
If you delete a post. Anything already granted stays yours — we don’t claw it back because you took a post down. The reply bonus is the exception: it is only paid if the post is still public and still tagged at settlement, so a post taken down before then earns none. We also remove the post content and engagement counts we hold for it. Taking a post down or untagging it to keep the Reward without the disclosure is a different thing, and section 5 forbids it.
Ending participation. You can stop at any time, and so can we — either way, what you have already earned stays yours. Repeated abuse ends your participation. The one exception is fraud: if a post is later shown to have been faked — bought or botted replies, a bot account, a recycled post — the Product may reverse what that post earned. Nothing else is ever reversed. Not a post you deleted, not a change of mind, and never because of what you said.
Changes. We may update this agreement; each post is judged against the version you accepted when you posted, and material changes are shown before your next Claim.
Who is responsible for what. The Product is the advertiser. It sets the Reward, delivers it, and is responsible for what it says about its own software. Earnesty is the layer in between: we check posts mechanically and tell the Product what to grant. Take questions about your Reward there.
What we collect about you. Your public handle and platform account ID, the posts carrying your Partner Tag (ID, public link, timestamp), how many distinct accounts replied to them, and the Product’s own ID for you. We keep the verification record as evidence your posts were disclosed. Full detail is in the USER Privacy Notice.
Governing law. Delaware law governs.
